Competencies

The main competencies of the Chair of Materials Handling and Warehousing are the planning, technology and the control of material flows in logistics as well as the training and education in this field.

Our services range from research and teaching over the preparation of expertises and the development of software and hardware up to consulting, planning and simulation.

Besides mechanical engineering we also offer diploma and postgraduate logistic courses ("Diplomstudiengang Logistik", "Zusatzstudiengang Logistik") which have been developed and initiated by our chair.

As a provider of engineering services we also work out projects on behalf of industrial companies.

 


Focus of research

realtime logistics – decentralized control

The decentralized control in Realtime Logistics is more than just a vision: The innovative control operates a test plant and first practical experience proved the enormous advantages of this new solution.
